After being sick for oh, the whole month of February, I finally had a day where my breathing pattern wasn't threatening to kill me (and some gorgeous weather, to boot!). I laced up, told my mom I'd be back in probably about 20 minutes, and ran out the door. I knew I wanted to mix in a little running with my walk to get back into the swing of things, but (as usual) I got carried away. If it was 70*, clear blue sky and slightly breezy in your neighborhood, wouldn't you?
Here's what I ended up with (I ran about half):
for some reason the file has lots of white space, and I'm too lazy to fix it. Deal. (Said in my nicest voice, ever. Promise).
Now all I have to do is train for this pesky race I've got coming up in April. Except I can't even call it pesky, because I'm pretty excited. A 5k around the Tidal Basin during Cherry Blossom season? Yes, Please!
Yay Adie! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better AND that you just busted out 3 miles! Very motivating!
ReplyDelete***I totally have the immune system of a peanut so I know how it feels to be sick for an entire month. Hello, October 2010 - It's like it didn't exist.
Ha I know! It was like, one thing after the next. And even when I was feeling alright, I had a stupid cough. It was just, stupid.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks!
